Pune, 1st July 2022: The Pune municipal corporation (PMC) has decided to supply water on alternate days from Monday (July 4) till July 11.
The water supply department of the corporation informed that further planning of the water distribution system will be done considering the rainfall during this period and water storage in the dams.
The water supply schedule is available at https://www.pmc.gov.in/sites/default/files/water_supply_timetable.pdf.
Aniruddha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer, Water Supply Department, said that this is the schedule for daytime water supply till July 11. The city’s water supply was almost certain to be cut as the water level in the dam supplying water to the city reached the bottom. The Water Resources Department had sent a letter to the Municipal Corporation asking it to use drinking water cautiously as the water supply from the Khadakwasla Dam project has been reduced.
