Pune : Chhota Rajan’s niece booked by Pune police for demanding Rs 50 lakhs extortion

Pune, March 14, 2020: On receiving a complaint, Anti extortion cell of Pune City Police Crime Branch has arrested one accused Dhiraj Sable for demanding extortion of Rs 50 lakhs by Priyadarshini Nikalje ( niece of Chhota Rajan) to settle a dispute.

Sable was caught red handed while accepting Rs 25 lakhs near Aurora Towers, Camp, on Friday (March 13) around 9 pm. An FIR has been registered with Lashkar police station against Sable, Nikalje and Mandar Waykar.

According to police, there was a dispute between the complainant’s wife and his sister-in-law (wife’s sister). The accused persons conspired and Nikalje lodged complaint with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station against the present complainant. Later she demanded Rs 50 lakhs to settle the case. However the complainant approached the Crime Branch.

A team from the anti-extortion cell under supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale, DCP (Crime) Bachchan Singh, ACP Shivaji Pawar, laid a trap and nabbed Sable while accepting Rs 25 lakhs extortion money.
