Pune: Chief Officer’s Gives Orders Regarding Water Supply Works Before Monsoon
Talegaon Dabhade, 13th May 2023: Talegaon Dabhade Municipal Council’s newly appointed Chief NK Patil visited the Water Supply Department and Health Department recently. In this, taking information about the ongoing work, instructions were given to the officers about the work to be done.
A site inspection was done at Somatne Pump House, Indrayani Pump House, Chaurai Water Treatment Center, and Indrayani Water Treatment Center under the Water Supply Department, City Engineer Mallikarjun Bansode, Office Superintendent Ravindra Kalokhe, Water Supply Engineer Smita Gade, Engineer Pravin Waringe, Pravin Yadav, Contractor Vijay Demons, etc were present.
At this time, planning of pre-monsoon water supply and making additional arrangements in case of power supply failure, switching on electricity for the 90 HP pump at Somatne pump house, bringing it into working, removal of algae and silt from Pavana water tank, replacement of worn out a line of 250 mm 300 mm were done. The officials were instructed to repair the chemical solution tank, remove the radar, a structural inspection of the storage tank, chain pulley at Yashwant Nagar water treatment plant.
He also visited the solid waste management project center of the city council and inspected the site. Office Superintendent Ravindra Kalokhe, Coordinator Gitanjali Honmane, Sanitation Inspector Pramod Phule, Supervisor Omkar Mane, and concerned contractors were present during the site inspection.
During the inspection of the said site, the chief officer carefully inspected the wet and dry waste generated daily in the city along with the construction works and what improvements are expected in solid waste management in the future. Instructions were given to the officers and employees in this regard.
A tree authority committee meeting was held in the office. NK Patil was the chairman of this meeting. In this, it was decided to prune the branches of the trees touching the electric wires before the monsoons, inspect the dangerous trees and take necessary action accordingly, and file a criminal case against the illegal cutting of trees in the city according to the government rules.
Tree Authority Committee Member Nilesh Garade, Vijay Mahajan, Raunak Khare, Garden Supervisor Siddheshwar Mahajan, Office Superintendent Ravindra Kalokhe, Garden Committee Ranjit Suryavanshi, Sachin Dabhade were present for the said meeting.
