Pune: Chikhali Resident Loses Over Rs 35 Lakhs in Share Market Investment Scam
Chikhali, 25th April 2024: In Pimpri Chinchwad, a man was deceived of more than Rs 35 lakhs by the allure of good returns on investments in the share market. The accused breached the victim’s trust during this incident, which occurred in Talawade between December 2023 and February 2024.
Sushant Suresh Vitonde, a 42-year-old resident of Chikhali, has complained to the Chikhali Police Station. The police have registered a case against Ahana Thakur and Mukesh Mehta from Black Stone Group, and Milisa and Ramji from Black Rock Group. However, the full names and addresses of all the accused are not known or verified.
According to police reports, the accused contacted the complainant in December 2023, persuading him to invest in the share market through their services. Initially, the accused gained the complainant’s trust by providing promising returns, which encouraged further investment. However, after the complainant invested a significant amount, the accused ceased communication, ultimately defrauding him of a total of Rs 37,00,000.
In response, the Chikhali police have registered a case under IPC sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) against the four accused individuals. Assistant Police Inspector Babar is conducting further investigations into the matter.
