Pune: Citizens Demand Bypass Road For Chakan To Overcome Daily Traffic Jam

Chakan, 8th November 2021: As there is heavy traffic congestion at Chakan every day, people are demanding a bypass road for Chakan. An application in this regard has been submitted to all the concerned authorities, said Appasaheb Kad, president of Shetkari Kunbi Maratha Sangh.

There are traffic congestions on Chakan -Talegaon – Shikrapur state highways and the vehicles rows go up to 5 km. On the bypass of the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur route villages like Chakan, Kharabwadi, Nanekarwadi, Medankarwadi, Kadachiwadi, Mahalunge are located.

 

If a 36-meter bypass road will be constructed here, the traffic of heavy vehicles containers, trailer trucks, buses will be reduced and the traffic jam will be solved. The vehicles of the companies in MIDC areas will come and go through the outer bypass.

 

The Shetkari Kunbi Maratha Sangh has been following the issue since 2011 and a resolution was passed in a joint meeting of the villagers.
