Pune: Citizens Put Forth Complaints At Public Dialogue Meeting, PCMC Officials Promise Action

Pimpri, 23rd August 2022: Various demands have been made by the citizens of Pimpri-Chinchwad to the Municipal Administration through the public dialogue meeting.

Due to continuous rain, potholes have emerged all over the city that should be filled immediately. The encroachment in the graveyard in Pimpri should be removed immediately. Ward office-wise weekly public dialogue meetings are organized to present the complaints and problems faced by the citizens in the administrative regime of Pimpri Municipality. Citizens have raised various problems at this place.

Citizens suggested necessary changes in the meeting held today. The street shops should be re-surveyed and licensed. The growth of the trees is stunted due to the protective nets placed on the trees. The nets should be removed immediately.

Partial works of water tunnels should be completed, and broken water tunnels should be repaired. Garbage Vans should be sent to collect garbage. Action should be taken against citizens who throw garbage in the open area. Care should be taken to ensure that encroachments do not occur again in places where encroachments have been removed.

Street lights should be installed along the roads. Those concerned should be fined because constructions on private land obstruct traffic on the road. Public toilets should be constructed at necessary places in the city.

Citizens made suggestions and complaints in the public meeting that cement blocks should be installed immediately in the middle of the road and on the footpath. An assurance has been given by the municipal authorities to take necessary action concerning these matters
