Pune City: 1040 New COVID Cases, 40 Deaths Today

Pune, September 29, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1548 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1040 new patients were detected while 40 people died today. Today swab samples of 5678 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 143,955 out of which 123,829 have been cured while 3446 have died. There are still 16,680 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 938 critical patients out of which 419 are on ventilator support.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6,145,291 across the country. Out of this, 5,101,397 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 96,318 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 947,576 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
