Pune Police Raids MLC Anil Bhosale House, Two Luxury Cars Seized
Shivajinagar, September 29, 2020: The Economic Offences Wings (EOW) of Pune city police raided the residence of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLC Anil Bhosale and confiscated important documents along with seizing two luxury cars. The raids were part of a financial scam in Shivajirao Bhosale Cooperative Bank.
He has been jailed in the misappropriation of funds and his bail application was rejected twice. The action was part of the investigation in the bank scam which involved misappropriation of Rs 72 crore. According to the cooperative laws, the police can take action against those involved and can also attach their properties.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had directed for the audit of the bank in 2018-19 in which Rs 71.18 crores were found less. After that, the board of the bank was removed.
According to the police, the action against him was going on from the last two months. Three cars including Land Cruiser, Toyota Camray and Maruti Baleno were seized.
