Pune City: 1512 New COVID Cases, 42 Deaths Today
Pune, September 24, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1328 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1512 new patients were detected while 42 people died today. Today swab samples of 5642 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 137,330 out of which 116,626 have been cured while 3255 have died. There are still 17,449 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 957 critical patients out of which 499 are on ventilator support.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,732,518 across the country. Out of this, 4,674,987 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 91,149 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 966,382 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
