Pune city: 1584 new COVID cases, 1449 discharged today
Pune, Aug 12, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1449 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1584 new patients were detected while 28 people died today. Today swab samples of 6213 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 69,235 out of which 52,802 have been cured while 1621 have died. There are still 14,812 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 735 critical patients out of which 445 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 13,408 people got discharged from hospitals while 12,712 new cases and 344 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 5,48,313 out of which 3,81,843 people have recovered and 18,650 have died. There are 1,47,513 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,329,638 across the country. Out of this, 1,639,599 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 46,091 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 643,948 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
