Pune City: 1637 New COVID Cases, 36 Deaths Today

Pune, September 26, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1695 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1637 new patients were detected while 36 people died today. Today swab samples of 5503 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 140,588 out of which 119,577 have been cured while 3332 have died. There are still 17,679 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 932 critical patients out of which 514 are on ventilator support.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,903,932 across the country. Out of this, 4,849,584 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 93,379 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 960,969 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
