Pune: 4180 new Corona patients in Pune district, 93 deaths

Pune, Sep 27, 2020: With the addition of 4180 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 2,73,012 in Pune district. Also, 3887 patients got discharged from hospitals while 93 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 2,73,012 patients 2,24,582 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 6220 people have died. There are still 42,096 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 42,096 , 17,699 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 1,119,262 people have been tested in the district.
The 2,73,012 patients include 1,40,588 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 75,267 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 5334 from Cantonment areas, 39,865 are from Rural areas, and 11,958 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,903,932 across the country. Out of this, 4,849,584 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 93,379 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 960,969 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
