Pune City: 1669 New COVID Cases, 33 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 20, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1386 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1669 new patients were detected while 33 people died today. Today swab samples of 6747 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 79,037 out of which 62,394 have been cured while 1882 have died. There are still 14,806 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 802 critical patients out of which 486 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 12,243 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,492 new cases and 326 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,43,289 out of which 4,59,124 people have recovered and 21359 have died. There are 1,62,491 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,83,6925 across the country. Out of this, 20,96,664 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 53,866 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 6,86,395 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
