Smart Pune Bags Two Awards For Its Innovative Initiatives during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Pune, August 20, 2020 : Pune’s smart efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic have been noticed and appreciated at national level. The Smart Pune has won two awards in Digital Technology Sabha Excellence Awards 2020. Pune Smart City’s Health Management Information System (HMIS) and PMC’s iHealWell Patient Engagement Platform are selected for this prestigious award, informed Additional Municipal Commissioner & CEO of Smart City, Pune Rubal Agarwal. Mayor of Pune Murlidhar Mohol and Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar have congratulated the team for the achievement.

 

Pune Smart City’s HMIS has been chosen under the Enterprise Applications category and Pune Municipal Corporation’s project- iHealWell Patient Engagement Platform under the Analytics / Big Data category, for the Digital Technology Sabha Excellence Awards 2020. Awards will be given on 28th August at the virtual awards ceremony, which will be hosted at the Digital Technology Sabha Virtual Conference is from 25th to 28th August, 2020.

Pune Smart City CEO Rubal Agarwal, IAS, is invited to receive the award at the virtual awards ceremony. PSCDCL will be felicitated live, wherein the CEO Agarwal will briefly give an overview of the project.

Pune Smart City has developed the Pune Telemedicine- Arogya Dheer app to provide free video consultation to Covid-19 patients in home isolation. And PMC developed the CCS app to monitor critical corona patients in the city which has helped a lot in the fight against the virus.

 

Agarwal said, “Such innovative efforts have contributed in increasing the doubling rate of Covid patients in Pune. This award has definitely boosted the morale and motivation to do more for the citizens of Pune. We are sure that we will overcome this pandemic soon.”
