Pune City: 1773 New COVID Cases, 38 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, Aug 27, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1680 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1773 new patients were detected while 38 people died today. Today swab samples of 6092 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 89,090 out of which 71,949 have been cured while 2146 have died. There are still 14,995 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 818 critical patients out of which 496 are on ventilator support.

Across Maharashtra, 9136 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,718 new cases and 355 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,33,568 out of which 5,31,563 people have recovered and 23,444 have died. There are 1,78,234 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,310,234 across the country. Out of this, 2,523,771 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 60,472 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 725,991 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
