Pune City: 1781 New COVID Cases, 40 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 28, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1578 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1781 new patients were detected while 40 people died today. Today swab samples of 6449 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 90,871 out of which 73,527 have been cured while 2168 have died. There are still 15,158 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 827 critical patients out of which 498 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 11,607 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,361 new cases and 331 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,47,995 out of which 5,43,170 people have recovered and 23,775 have died. There are 1,80,718 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,387,500 across the country. Out of this, 2,583,948 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 61,529 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 742,023 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
