Maharashtra COVID report: 14,361 new cases, 331 deaths today

Mumbai, Aug 28, 2020: A total of 11,607 patients were discharged and 14,361 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 3647 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 331 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.18%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 7,47,995 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 5,43,170 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.18%. As of today, there are 1,80,718 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.62% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.18%. Currently, 13,01,346 people are in home quarantine and 34,908 people are in institutional quarantine.

Out of 39,32,522 laboratory samples, 7,47,995 have been tested positive (19.02%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,387,500 across the country. Out of this, 2,583,948 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 61,529 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 742,023 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
