Pune City: 1789 New COVID Cases, 46 Deaths Today

Pune, September 23, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1512 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1789 new patients were detected while 46 people died today. Today swab samples of 6463 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 135,818 out of which 115,298 have been cured while 3213 have died. There are still 17,307 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 952 critical patients out of which 496 are on ventilator support.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,646,010 across the country. Out of this, 4,587,613 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 90,020 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 968,377 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
