Maharashtra COVID Report: 21,029 New Cases , 479 deaths today
Mumbai, Sep 23, 2020: A total of 19,476 patients were discharged and 21,029 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1789 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 479 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.68%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 12,63,799 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 9,56,030 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.68%. As of today, there are 2,73,477 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 75.65% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.68%.
Currently, 18,75,424 people are in home quarantine and 34,457 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 61,06,787 laboratory samples, 12,63,799 have been tested positive (20.69%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,646,010 across the country. Out of this, 4,587,613 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 90,020 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 968,377 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
