Pune city: 761 new COVID cases, 1499 discharged today

Pune, Aug 10, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1499 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 761 new patients were detected while 31 people died today. Today swab samples of 5133 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 66,727 out of which 50,113 have been cured while 1571 have died. There are still 15,043 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 738 critical patients out of which 444 are on ventilator support.

 

Across Maharashtra, 3,58,421 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.44%. As of today, there are 1,47,735 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 68.33% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.44%. Currently, 10,01,268 people are in home quarantine and 35,521 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 27,73,520 laboratory samples, 5,24,513 have been tested positive (18.91%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,215,074 across the country. Out of this, 1,535,743 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 44,386 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 634,945 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
