Pune city: 877 fresh COVID patients found, 19 deaths reported today

Pune, July 1, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 589 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 877 new patients were detected while 19 patients died. Today swab samples of 4068 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 18,105 out of which 11,040 have been cured while 662 have died. There are still 6403 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 347 critical patients out of which 55 are on ventilator support. Till now 120,058 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 19 deaths, four were women and fifteen men, all between the age group of 40 to 85 years. They were from Rahatani, Dattawadi (2), Kothrud (2), Near Shirke Company, Wadgaon Sheri, Navi Peth, Mundawa, Kasaba Peth (2), Katraj, Keshav Nagar, Bhavani Peth, NIBM Road, SB Road, Kondhawa, Wadgaon, and Warje.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 5537 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 1,80,298. Also, 198 people died while 2243 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 79,075 active cases. Till now 93,154 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 51.67 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 585,493 across the country. Out of this, 347,978 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 17,400 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 220,114 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
