Pune: City schools shine in SSC results this year

Pune, July 29, 2020: While celebrating the excellent result of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) result on Wednesday, the students and parents expressed surprise that the SSC website displayed the result on time with no technical difficulties. With the pass percentage and result quite high this time, Pune students and school achieved good scores in the examination this year.

 

“It is shocking to see that the website displayed the result on time, when my elder son was in high school the website crashed every other minute and almost every year it is observed that the delay in results is for more than 2 or 3 hours. But this time we checked the result at 1:01 pm, and the result was displayed with zero technical difficulties. Indeed, Maharashtra State Board has improved its technical services,” said a parent Geeta Khan while speaking to Punekarnews.in.

 

District topper Shivani Sane of Deccan Education Society’s Ahilyadevi High School For Girls scored 99.8 percent marks said, “Thanks to my continuous revision, which helped me a lot, and of course my parents who genuinely supported me.” Esha Mahalle, a student of Golwalkar Guruji Mahavidyalaya obtained 99 percent with 98 marks in Sanskrit and Social Sciences.

 

Jai Hind High School and Junior College of Pimpri Chinchwad has continued with an excellent result of 100 percent this year as well. Out of 470 students, 339 students passed with distinction. Snehal Kumbhar was the school topper with 95.80 percent, followed by Ishita Nagpal 95.60 percent and Advani Vinita 94 percent. Talking to Punekarnews.in, Principal Jyoti Masand said, “It’s a success we truly deserved, an achievement that the students have earned. It’s a joint effort of teachers, parents and students behind this fabulous success.”

 

PA Inamdar Education Trusts’ three schools in Wadgaon Sheri have scored 100 percent passing in the SSC examination. At Lady Tehrunnisa Inamdar English Medium High School, Divya Sandeep Gawde bagged the first position with 87 percent marks. Tamiya Jamadar bagged the first position in Lady Tehrunnisa Inamdar Urdu Medium High School with 83 percent. In Lady Tehrunnisa Inamdar Marathi Medium High School, Pranay Latamble bagged the first position with 90 percent marks.

 

St Joseph High School, Pashan has also continued its triumphant run with 100 percent pass percentage, and the topper was Sara Pai Ketan secured 97 percent followed by Sakshi Shah with 96.40 percent and Tanaya Govardhan with 96.00 percent.

 

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHSE) conducted the State Secondary Examination (SSC) from March 3 to March 21, 2020. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the nationwide lockdown, geography examination was cancelled, which was the only remaining paper.
