Pune City: Vaccination At 73 Centres On Wednesday For People Above 45 Years

Pune, 18th May 2021: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has re-started the vaccination for people above 45 years of age. On Wednesday, 73 vaccination centres will be open.

PMC Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal said that priority will be given to the second dose to healthcare and frontline workers besides people who had taken Covishield first dose atleast 84 days ago. As per new policy of the government, the gap between two doses of Covishield should be 84 days to 112 days.

According to PMC, for the second dose people can directly go to the vaccination centres without prior appointment. However, 10% of vaccines will be given as the first dose to people above 45 years with prior appointment only. There will be no vaccination for the 18-44 years group.
