Pune, 13th June 2022: A decision has been taken by the Maharashtra School Education Department where in case of non-admission after getting the first college of preference and sudden cancellation of admission in the online admission process, the concerned students will be able to participate in the next three rounds also.

Earlier, the concerned students were barred from getting admission till the next three rounds. This has been a great relief to the students.

Online admission of Class 11 is implemented in junior colleges in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Mumbai (metropolitan area), Amravati, Nashik, and Nagpur municipal areas. The registration process is currently underway and part one of the application is being filled out.

The school education department has decided to improve the online admission process for class 11. Accordingly, students were barred from participating in the next three admissions rounds if they get admission to the first number of colleges from their choice of preferences, if they cancelled or if the admission was cancelled by the college. These students had to participate in the fourth special round. However, this rule has been changed. This decision will greatly benefit the students and will give them the option of getting admission to a good college.

As per the decision of the state government dated March 28, 2016, and January 27, 2017, it has been decided that the excluded villages in the Mumbai metropolitan area and Pune municipal area should be included in class 11 online admission process. Therefore, the number of colleges is likely to increase in the admission process for class 11. The decision also stipulates that in-house quotas should be enabled at any stage of access and relocation.
