Moosewala Murder Suspect Arrested By Pune Rural Police In Gujarat, Cops Investigating Threat To Salman Khan Also

Pune, 13th June 2022: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of the Pune rural police has arrested wanted accused and notorious goon Santosh Sunil Jadhav and his accomplice from Kutch district in Gujarat. Police said that Jadhav is a suspect in the murder case of Sidhu Moosewala of Punjab as well as the threat to Bollywood Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.
Addressing a press conference at the office of the Superintendent of Police (Pune rural), Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Kulwant Sarangal said that Jadhav has been arrested in the murder case of Omkar alias Ranya Bankhele. An FIR is registered in this regard at Manchar Police Station and the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been invoked in the case.
Special IGP (Kolhapur range) Manoj Lohiya and Pune rural SP Dr Abhinav Deshmukh were also present during the press conference.
“Jadhav and his accomplices had shot dead Bankhele last year. Since then the accused were on the run. A few days ago, our team had arrested Saurabh alias Sidhesh alias Mahakal Hiraman Kamble who had sheltered Jadhav. While investigating the case, a tip-off was received that Jadhav was hiding in Gujarat. Accordingly, a team was sent there which nabbed Navnath Suryawanshi in Mandvi. He had arranged for the stay of Jadhav who was caught in Nagore in Mandvi taluka of Kutch district in Gujarat. To hide his identity, Jadhav had changed his getup and also tonsured his head”, ADG Sarangal said.
He added, “We are probing if Jadhav has any connection with the murder of Moosewala and threat given to Salman Khan and his father.”
Jadhav was produced before a judicial magistrate late on Sunday night and he has been remanded to police custody till June 20.
The investigation team included Add SP Mitesh Ghatte, DySP Sudarshan Patil, Police Inspector Ashok Shelke, API Netaji Ganthare, PSI Ganesh Jagdale, Head Constables Dipak Sable, Raju Momin, Vikram Tapkir, Janardan Shelke, Pramod Navle, Patharkar, Police Naik Sandeep Vare, Balasaheb Khadke, Amol Shedge, Constable Akshay Navale, Nilesh Supekar and Dagdu Virkar.
