He assured that the administration will provide all essential facilities required for the large gathering.

Dudi was speaking at a planning meeting held at the District Collectorate, attended by representatives of several social organisations. Senior officials present included Zilla Parishad CEO Gajanan Patil, Pune City DCP (Zone 4) Somay Munde, Additional SP (Pune Rural) Ramesh Chopde, Resident Deputy Collector Jyoti Kadam, Additional CEO Chandrakant Waghmare, DCP (Special Branch) Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakare, and officials from the Social Welfare Department, BARTI, and other government bodies.

Facilities to Be Strengthened for Followers
The Collector said followers visiting the Vijay Stambh will be provided with drinking water, sanitation and toilet facilities, dedicated parking areas, direction boards, regulated traffic movement, medical services, emergency care, drone and CCTV surveillance, library stalls, and other support services. He reiterated that ensuring safety and convenience for followers remains the administration’s top priority. Additional suggestions from organisations will also be incorporated into this year’s planning.

Dust Control, Water Monitoring, and Transport Checks
To address dust-related concerns, the Public Works Department has been directed to implement dust-control measures. A supervisor will be appointed to ensure uninterrupted water supply throughout the event.

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has been asked to submit required documents for bus inspections to the Regional Transport Office by December 25, 2025. Following this, the Transport Department will begin vehicle checks. A health camp for PMPML bus drivers will be organised by the District Civil Surgeon’s office.

Police have been asked to create separate queues for pregnant women, small children, and elderly women to ensure smoother movement and crowd management.

Control Room and Grievance Cell at Venue
A central control room and a grievance redressal cell will be set up at the venue for real-time coordination. The Resident Deputy Collector will compare the 2019–20 event plan with this year’s preparations to incorporate necessary improvements.

A committee headed by the Chief Accounts and Finance Officer will monitor expenditure and submit an audit report after the event. Strict traffic management and law-and-order measures will also be implemented in coordination with the police.

Organisations Assured of Cooperation
During the meeting, several organisations shared suggestions to enhance arrangements. Collector Dudi assured them that their inputs would be positively considered and appealed to all groups to support the smooth execution of the programme.

Arrangements on Lines of Ashadhi Wari
Zilla Parishad CEO Gajanan Patil said that facilities similar to those arranged during the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage will be provided this year. Adequate staff, sanitation workers, water tankers, and equipment will be deployed. “The number of toilets has been increased compared to previous years,” Patil added.
