Pune: College Girl Dies By Suicide, FIR Registered Against Two Friends
Viman Nagar, 20th February 2023: Pune police have registered a case against a man and a woman in connection with the suicide of a 21-year-old college student.
The victim, Harleen Kaur, was found dead at her residence in Viman Nagar on February 1, having apparently hanged herself. Her mother discovered a note in Harleen’s notebook in which she alleged that she had been forced to take drugs by her girl friend and beaten by her friend.
The police have registered a case against Harleen’s friend, Sairaj, and her girlfriend, Utkarsha Sasane, following the complaint filed by Harleen’s mother.
According to the note left by Harleen, her friend Utkarsha had introduced her to smoking cigarettes and marijuana while Sairaj had beaten her on suspicion of having an affair with another boy. Sairaj had also allegedly taken Harleen’s mobile phone and threatened her.
The police are further investigating the case.
