Chinchwad, 6th May 2024: Five agents working together sold 305 acres of land. Following the land deal, four agents, one company representative, and one buyer collectively failed to provide a portion of more than Rs 18 Crores in commission to one of the agents. This incident occurred between January 2011 and May 2024 in Chinchwad.

Guruprasad Bilochanram Jaiswal (aged 63, resident of Kalyan, Thane) has filed a complaint with Chinchwad Police Station. The police have registered a case against Praveen Ramesh Salve, Ramesh Salve, Premchand Baphna, Sadiq Pasha, K. Vishwanath, and Arvind Jain. Full addresses for all of them are currently unknown.

According to police reports, BPL Company owned approximately 305 acres of land in Jambhul, Maval Taluka. The company’s representative, K. Vishwanath, and the buyer of the land, Arvind Jain, informed the complainant about the deal. They alleged that the complainant’s four agent colleagues received commissions but failed to share them with the complainant, thereby betraying him for their own financial gain. The total commission owed to the complainant amounted to Rs 18 Crore 25 Lakh, which the other agent colleagues withheld, effectively duping him of that money. The complainant also claimed that he had been requesting the commission for the past 10 years and had even received death threats from the accused.

In response, the Chinchwad Police have registered a crime against the accused under IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant, or by banker, merchant or agent), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 120 (B) (punishment for criminal conspiracy), and 506 (2) (punishment for criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication). Police Sub Inspector Jhinjude is further investigating this matter.
