Pune: Complete Work Of Equal Water Supply Scheme At Earliest: Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil Orders PMC
Pune, 18th March 2023: Considering the growing population of Pune, priority should be given to the basic needs of Pune residents. Therefore, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil directed that the works of the Equal Water Supply Scheme should be completed quickly.
He was speaking at a meeting held at Safa Banquet Baner to review the 24×7 Equal Water Supply Scheme in Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, and new water supply works in Sus, Mhalunge.
On this occasion, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Chief Engineer of Water Supply Department Aniruddh Pavaskar, Superintending Engineer of 24×7 Scheme Nandkishore Jagtap, Superintending Engineer of Water Supply Department Prasanna Joshi, Deputy Engineer Vinod Kshirsagar, former corporator Amol Balwadkar, Jyoti Kalamkar, Swapnali Saikar, etc were present.
Guardian Minister Patil said that as Pune is becoming the best city to live in, the population is also increasing rapidly. The minimum needs of citizens should be prioritized. Therefore, the works of the Equal Water Supply Scheme in the city through the Municipal Corporation should be completed speedily. Also, instructions were given to the officials to take effective measures to prevent water leakage.
The Guardian Minister inquired about the Baner-Balewadi water supply channel and pumping work. He also inspected the work of the water storage tank.
Currently, due to the changing climate, the heat of the sun has started to be felt. It is necessary for everyone to use water carefully in the future. Citizens should strictly avoid using drinking water for similar activities like car washing, and construction. He appealed that citizens should also plan water properly in the background of summer.
