Pune: Container Falls Off Bavdhan Bridge on Pune-Bangalore Highway, No Fatalities Reported
Pune, 27th February 2023: In a stroke of luck, a major accident was averted when a container traveling on the Pune-Bangalore highway hit the railing of the Bavdhan Bridge and fell off. The incident occurred without causing any fatalities, but the driver of the container sustained injuries.
The container was traveling on the busy highway when the driver lost control, causing it to hit the bridge’s railing and subsequently fall off. The impact was so severe that the railing broke, and the container fell into the gap.
Thankfully, there were no casualties, as no one was passing under the bridge at the time. The accident has raised concerns about the need for proper maintenance of bridges and highways to ensure public safety.
The police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident and where the container was headed.
