Pune Student Maher Patel Excels in Maharashtra Government Art Exam, Secures First Position

Pune, 18th February 2023: The Result of the Maharashtra Government Art Directorate, Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination conducted in 2022 by the Maharashtra government has been announced recently. In this exam, the 10th grade student Maher Patel of St. Ursula High School bagged the honour of coming first in the state merit list. Also, she has secured eighth rank in the state in the Memory drawing subject.

Maher also stood 33rd in the state merit list in the elementary examination held in 2019.

Maher was honored by the former Art Director of the state Dilip Borle in the art teacher’s workshop held on February 14th at the Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Natyagruha, Pune on behalf of the Pune District Art Teachers’ Association.

For the complete preparation of both these exams, she got comprehensive guidance from Ashok Kamthe, Art teacher of Jnana Prabodhini Navnagar Vidyalaya, Nigdi. Currently, she is also studying portrait and landscape painting with him.

Maher is also skilled at cycling and skating and has won many National medals. Sister Valerie, headmistress of St. Ursula High School and all the teachers rejoiced at Maher’s success.
