A memorandum was given to the Municipal Commissioner and Superintendent of Garen Department Ashok Ghorpade demanding immediate withdrawal of this decision taken by the municipality.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had issued notice that unmarried couples were hindering bird watching. Right to Love demanded immediate withdrawal of the said order as it is illegal and violative of fundamental rights in the constitution.
The demand for the Right to Love has been successful and the municipal corporation has removed the board of ‘Couple not allowed’ placed in the Pashan Lake area.
