Pune: Collector Orders Strict Compliance Of Toll Tax Exemption To Devotees Going For Ganeshotsav To Konkan

Pune, 27th August 2022: District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh informed that the Maharashtra state government has announced a waiver of Toll tax for Ganpati devotees and vehicles going to Konkan, and by strictly following it in the district, they should ensure that Ganesh devotees do not face any inconvenience. This tax waiver will be available from August 27 to September 11.

Collector Deshmukh informed that according to the government circular, instructions have been given to waive the toll of the vehicles of Ganesh devotees going to Konkan at the toll booths on the Mumbai Bangalore National Highway (NH 48) passing through Pune and other Public Works Department (PWD) roads.
Earlier, toll tax was waived for devotees going to Pandharpur on Ashadhi Ekadashi. He also said that road tax waivers should be implemented properly.
Deshmukh said, according to this circular, the operators of the toll booths have been instructed to give the toll waiver and at the toll booths, the toll waiver passes will be made available in the pattern fixed by the government. This work will be done in coordination with Police Department and Transport Department.
