Pune Crime Branch Busts High-Profile Sex Racket In Baner, Rescues 11 Women

Baner, 25th January 2024: The Social Security Cell of the Crime Branch, Pune Police, has dismantled a high-profile sex racket operating within the jurisdiction of the Chatushringi Police Station. The operation, conducted on Wednesday evening, targeted Hotel Tag House in Balewadi and Sneh Apartment on Plan Card Club Road, resulting in the rescue of 11 young women.

The crackdown on this illicit activity occurred around 5 pm on Wednesday. Five individuals, identified as Rocky Kadam, Rahul Madan alias Madan Sanyasi, Dinesh alias Mama, Naveen, and Roshan, have been named in the case, and the police have initiated legal proceedings against them. The racket was reportedly orchestrated through online platforms and WhatsApp numbers, adding a layer of sophistication to its operations.

This recent operation follows a previous action by the Social Security Cell in Viman Nagar, where an actress from Rajasthan was arrested in connection with a prostitution case. Subsequent investigations revealed links to Rahul Madan alias Madan Sannyasi, prompting the police to extend their probe to the limits of the Chatushringi police station.

The raid targeted Hotel Tag House on Balewadi Road, leading to the rescue of young women from room numbers 303, 304, and 302. Additionally, victims were found in Sneh Apartment on PAN Card Club Road. Among the rescued individuals, eight are from other states, while three are from Mumbai.

A case has been registered at the Chatushringi police station. Further investigation is going on.
