Pune: Crime Branch Seizes Vimal Paan Masala Worth Rs 9.14 Lakh

Now FIR is registered against accused persons with Hadapsar police station

Fursungi, September 10, 2020: The officials from the anti-narcotics and anti-extortion cell of the Pune City Police Crime Branch today nabbed two persons and seized banned Viman Paan Masala and tobacco worth Rs 9.14 lakh from their possession. Now an FIR has been registered with Hadapsar police station against the accused persons.

Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Pramod Tilekar and Amol Pilane, a team led by Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mohite nabbed two persons at Bhakti Vihar society in Bhekrainagar, Fursungi and seized the illegal Paan Masala and other materials, totally valued at Rs 12.14 lakh. The arrested persons have been identified as Mandar Rajendra Thosar of Shivraj Chowk, Hadapsar and Manoj Sumtilal Dugad of Bhakti Vihar society, Bhekrainagar.

The action was taken under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale, DCP (Crime) Bachchan Singh and ACP Shivaji Pawar. The team included Police Sub Inspector Nilesh Mahadik and policemen Uday Kalbhor, Ramesh Garud, Pramod Tilekar, Amol Pilane and Mohan Yelpale.
