Pune: ‘Criminal Exchange Program’ Organised To Help Cops Detect Unsolved Cases

Pune, 31st January 2023: The Pune Police undertook a new endeavor for the first time in the organization’s history of investigating crimes in Pune. At the Kothrud Police Station, a Criminal Exchange Program was organized.

In this, known criminals or those with a criminal record were called forward and the offenses against them, along with their addresses and methods of crime, were read aloud to the audience. This was done to make it simpler to solve crimes that are not reported to the police department.

There were about 140 criminals on police records who took part in this program. Criminals were gathered for the program from six police stations, including under Zone 3 namely Uttam Nagar Police Station, Warje Malwadi Police Station, Kothrud Police Station, Dattawadi Police Station, and Sinhagad Road Police Station.

Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner of Police (Western Regional Division) Rajendra Dahale, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Suhail Sharma, this program was carried out.
