Sinhagad Road, 6th July 2022: Earlier, it took just five minutes to drive from Rajaram Bridge to B. D. Kher (Santosh Hall chowk) on Sinhagad Road.

But now, after 7 pm, the journey takes up to 40-50 minutes. This is not a one-day experience, instead, it has been an everyday experience for the commuters on this road.

Ideal School Recruitment Notice

The traffic jam starts from Vitthalwadi up to Dhayari. Sometimes due to the construction of flyover, due to rains, encroachments, illegal parking, and sometimes due to potholes in the road, there are various reasons for traffic jams on this road. Although the construction of the flyover on Sinhagad Road is currently underway, it is becoming clear that the main reason is the administrative neglect of the measures.

Essential measures to be taken by the administration:

  • Filling potholes where flyover work is in progress, removing bumps caused by wrong constructions, and paving good roads.
  • Removal of encroachment in front of the shops and illegal stalls by politicians.
  • Removal of road nets to prevent parking.
  • Taking action against motorists coming from the opposite direction.
  • Taking action on incorrectly parked four-wheelers.
