Pune: Daund-Vaishno Devi Bharat Gaurav Yatra to Cover Ujjain, Haridwar, Amritsar from April 25

Pune, 2nd March 2026: Indian Railways will operate a special Bharat Gaurav Train for pilgrims undertaking the “Mahakaleshwar & Uttar Bharat Darshan Yatra,” a 10 nights and 11 days tour scheduled from April 25 to May 5, 2026. The tour will be planned and executed by the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

According to railway officials, the Bharat Gaurav Express will commence its journey from Daund Railway Station on April 25 at 08:00 hrs and is scheduled to return to Daund on May 5 at 20:30 hrs. The itinerary will cover major pilgrimage destinations including Ujjain, Mathura, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Amritsar and Vaishno Devi.

Passengers will be able to board and deboard the train at multiple stations en route, including Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara and Ujjain. The tour package includes halts and stays at key religious centres such as Mathura, Haridwar, Amritsar and Vaishno Devi as part of the scheduled pilgrimage circuit.

The train will consist of 14 LHB coaches, including one AC 2-Tier coach, three AC 3-Tier coaches, seven Sleeper Class coaches, two power cars and one pantry car to cater to onboard requirements during the journey.

Railway authorities stated that the theme-based tourist train is being operated under the broader initiative to promote domestic tourism and showcase India’s cultural and religious heritage. The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train programme has been introduced to support the vision of “Dekho Apna Desh” and “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” encouraging travel to prominent spiritual and heritage destinations across the country.

Bookings and tour-related details for the pilgrimage package are being managed through IRCTC’s tourism platform.
