Pune, 27th May 2023: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducted the skill test on 7th April for the post of Tax Assistant and Clerk along with Typist under Group-C. During that time, some candidates had technical difficulties in giving the exam.

But MPSC has again organized a skill test for all the candidates on Wednesday (31st May). Hearing this, the candidates expressed their anger and asked obliquely whether they will have to take the exam for the third time if there is some technical problem again.

Last year, the examination was conducted for the post of Assistant, Clerk, and Typist under Group C, and the last stage of the skill development test of the examination was conducted a few days ago. The examination was conducted by the commission for 285 posts of assistant and 1,077 posts for clerk and typist under Group-C.

The process of this examination is going on for almost a year. It is unfair to make the examination compulsory for all the candidates rather than a few candidates who faced specific problems given that the examination process is already delayed.

The candidates of the exam took the stand that they will not give the exam under any circumstances. But MPSC announced that it will hold the exam again despite the demands of the candidates.

Some political leaders also wrote letters to the Commission supporting the stand of the candidates not to retake the exam. But the commission did not change its decision and ordered the students to give the exam again.

One candidate said, “We have been studying for many years. We have reached this point after all the hard work we have put into our studies. Those who face technical difficulties should re-examine properly.”
