Kothrud, 26th May 2021: Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (DMH) Pune has set up a “Shri Mangesh Vaccine Fund” to help the poor get vaccinated free of cost against Coronavirus disease (COVID19).

 

The hospital in this regard has set up a vaccination centre at an MES Balshikshan Mandir, Mayur Colony, Kothrud, Pin – 411004. For others, the hospital has decided the price of the vaccine at Rs 900. The vaccination will remain open between 9 am to 7 pm.

 

The hospital has requested donors to come forward and donate to the fund so that the poor and needy will be able to get vaccinated. The fund shall receive donations from private donors, company CSR and the doctors, as well as the staff of the Mangeshkar hospital, will also chip in.

Mangeshkar hospital aims to vaccinate around 200 people daily including domestic maids, daily wage labourers, roadside vegetable vendors, autorickshaw drivers etc whose annual income is less than Rs 1.5 lakh per annum. However, the eligibility for free vaccination will be decided by the hospital.

 

The vaccination will be done by appointment only. Those who want to get vaccinated for free should also first register themselves on the CoWin portal (search for Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital). Limited walk-in slots only for 45 and above age groups daily for a first come first serve basis.
