Pune: PMC Sets Up Oxygen Concentrators Library For The Needy

Pune, 26th May 2021: The impact of the second wave of the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic is now decreasing in Pune city. However, at its peak, Pune faced an acute shortage of Oxygen for patients. As a result, the administration is taking several steps to ensure that there is a proper stock of Oxygen for patients.

In one such initiative, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar announced that the PMC has received Oxygen concentrators, and they will be given to needy patients for free.

Many individuals, as well as institutions, have donated Oxygen concentrators to the PMC. Hence, the administration has set up an ‘Oxygen Concentrators Library’ to supply these concentrators to the needy not only at home but also in the hospitals if needed.

Under this initiative, the patient will receive an Oxygen concentrator for seven days, 15 days or a month. The capacity of these oxygen concentrators is 5 litre and 10 litres.

To get these Oxygen concentrators, the following terms must be completed:

– Doctors Prescription
– Covid positive report of the patient
– If the patient is discharged and the concentrator is needed at home then the details of Oxygen treatment prescribed by the doctor
– An undertaking signed by the Covid patient/Relative in the described format
– Residential Proof, Electricity bill and Aadhar card
