Pune: Defamation Of Young Woman On Pretext Of Online Loan
Yerwada, 24th August 2022: Even after paying off the loan taken through the online app, a young woman was forced to pay more. But after she ignored it, the cyber criminal defamed her by morphing her photos and sending them to people in her contact list.
According to police, the young woman works in a finance company. A link regarding an online loan came on her mobile. After downloading the link, she filled in all her details on the app and through that, she got a loan. Following that she received such links twice. She even clicked on those links and received the loan. She paid that loan in time.
After that, she started receiving calls from different mobile numbers demanding additional money, but she ignored them. On seeing that the young lady was not responding, the cyber criminal morphed her picture from her WhatsApp and sent it to her contacts.
After the young woman came to know about this, she rushed to the Yerwada police station and filed a complaint against the concerned. In this regard, Police Inspector (Crime) Uttam Chakra is investigating.
