Pune: Delay In Development Works In PCMC Area, Mahesh Landge Meets Officials Of Various Departments 

Pimpri, 16th August 2022: Alleging that the development works started during Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) tenure in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) are being deliberately stalled, MLA Mahesh Landge again put the municipal authorities on the line. He said that the works stalled during the administrative period should be cleared immediately. He also warned that the administration’s slow action regarding getting water from Andhra, Bhama Askhed project to the city will not be tolerated.

In view of the upcoming municipal elections, MLA Landge held a meeting of officials at the Auto Cluster Auditorium of Chinchwad to review the important works in the city. Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Jitendra Wagh, Ulhas Jagtap, City Engineer Makarand Nikam, Sanjay Kulkarni, Srikant Sawane etc were present. Commissioner Rajesh Patil was not present at the meeting.

MLA Landage ordered issues to be done in the city. The road work at Triveninagar should be completed, and the rehabilitation process of the affected citizens should be completed speedily. The work of the second phase of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sant Peetha in Talgaon Chikhali should be started immediately, and the work of the town hall should be speeded up.

It should be verified whether Cow Barn can be developed in the land acquired by the municipality between Chikhli and Charholi. The work of saint sculpture and murals in Bhosari Thorlya Paduka Chowk should be completed soon. A children’s hospital should be planned in Bhosari. Accommodation should be provided to the athletes in the wrestling complex and the kabaddi complex in Bhosari.

For this, the work of a hostel with a capacity of 120 beds should be done soon. Many houses in Yamunanagar, Nigdi area are showing red zone marking, it should be fixed. The red zone should be defined by the Defense Department.

Andhra, Bhama Askhed project, pending cases regarding land acquisition, Cricket Stadium, Safari Park, Moshi and widening of Pune-Nashik National Highway to speed up the land acquisition process and to hold an urgent meeting with the concerned departments regarding the Chikhli Hospital site.

A report should be submitted for re-developing Kanbe Chowk to Bhakti-Shakti Chowk through Red Zone. Sewage treatment projects are closed in many societies. A survey should be conducted in this regard and the concerned should be punished. MLA Landge has also made various suggestions to promote environmental conservation.
