Indapur, 5th April 2024: In a bid to address simmering discontent among BJP workers in the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis undertook a crucial visit to Indapur. The visit comes amidst growing unease among party workers, exacerbated by the recent announcement of Sunetra Pawar, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, as a candidate from Mahayuti, sparking dissatisfaction, particularly among former Indapur MLA Harshvardhan Patil.

Patil’s discontent stems from longstanding grievances with the NCP, spanning two decades, and his assertion that the NCP has strayed from the principles of the Mahayuti. In response to these concerns, Fadnavis took proactive steps by convening a meeting in Indapur on Friday, where he engaged in discussions with Patil and other key stakeholders.

Following the worker’s meeting, Fadnavis addressed the media, emphasizing the importance of unity within the alliance. Acknowledging the historical rivalry between BJP and NCP, Fadnavis stressed the need for coordination and unity, asserting that progress has been made in aligning the mindset of activists and leaders towards a common goal.

When questioned about the apparent misalignment between leaders and workers, Fadnavis reaffirmed his belief in the solidarity and commitment of party workers. He likened workers to soldiers, highlighting their unwavering loyalty to their commanders. Fadnavis expressed confidence in the leadership’s ability to guide and unite the party ranks, assuring that measures will be implemented to ensure justice and cohesion within the party framework.
