Pune District: 2044 New Corona Patients, 8 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, 7th March 2021: With the addition of 2044 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,19,465 in the Pune district in the last one year. Also, 1348 patients got discharged from hospitals while eight people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of a total of 4,19,465 patients 3,96,244 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9303 people have died. There are still 14,087 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 24,02,072 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,19,465 patients include 2,08,330 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,09,034 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7266 from Cantonment areas, 73,555 are from Rural areas, and 21,280 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
