Pune District: 2840 New Corona Patients, 15 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, 11th March 2021: With the addition of 2840 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,28,344 in the Pune district in the last one year. Also, 1303 patients got discharged from hospitals while fifteen people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of a total of 4,28,344 patients 4,01,948 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9356 people have died. There are still 17,209 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 24,56,066 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,28,344 patients include 2,13,025 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,11,515 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7356 from Cantonment areas, 74,814 are from Rural areas, and 21,634 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
