Pune District: 5065 New Covid Cases, 24 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 19th March 2021: A total of 5065 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 2211 patients got discharged from hospitals while 24 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,58,597. Out of this, 4,16,297 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 9,510 people have died. There are about 32,959 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals or in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 25,95,938 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,58,597 patients include 2,29,383 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,19,518 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 7705 from Cantonment areas; 79,091 are from Rural areas, and 22,900 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
