Pune District: 6432 New COVID Cases, 42 Deaths Reported Today

Pune, 25 March 2021: A total of 6432 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 2808 patients got discharged from hospitals while 42 people died today.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,92,694. Out of this, 4,33,429 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 9,724 people have died. There are about 49,710 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals and in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 27,31,429 people have been tested in the district.
The 4,92,694 patients include 2,47,629 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,28,747 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 8146 from Cantonment areas; 83,936 are from Rural areas, and 24,236 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
