Pune District: 9086 New COVID Cases, 58 Deaths Today

Pune, 2 April 2021: Today Pune district has reported one of the highest number of Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases in a single day. A total of 9086 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive cases were reported today in the Pune district. Also, 6000 patients got discharged from hospitals while 58 people died today.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that to date the total number of COVID cases has reached 5,51,508. Out of this, 4,73,714 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, while 10,097 people have died. There are about 67,866 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals and in-home isolation. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 29,49,111 people have been tested in the district.

 

The 5,51,508 patients include 2,78,099 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area; 1,44,714 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC); 9050 from Cantonment areas; 92,665 are from Rural areas, and 26,980 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
