Pune District Collector Naval Kishore Ram among ’50 Popular Collectors’ in India

Pune, June 2, 2020: IAS officer, Collector, Pune, Pro-People and Optimistic Field worker. This is how Naval Kishore Ram describes himself on Twitter. And now he has found among the 50 Popular Collectors in India.

The Fame India Magazine along with Asia Post Survey announced its list of top popular District Magistrate (DM) in 50 different categories in the country. The Fame India stated that Ram has been selected for his good work as DM in Pune. He has been posted in Pune since April 2018. He hails from Motihari in East Champaran district of Bihar. Ram is 2008 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Earlier he has served as District Collector in Aurangabad and Beed.

Speaking to Punekarnews.in, Ram, who is known as being very accessible to people, said, “I am doing my duty. People have always been my centrepoint.”

The magazine stated, “It is often said in Indian society that only the Prime Minister (PM) in the country, the Chief Minister (CM) in the state and the District Collector/Magistrate (DM) in the district have the power to do anything better for the people. Although everyone has a role in the development of the country, the district collector has the main responsibility to make the benefits of the entire machinery development-related plans of the country and the state to the people and only then the change takes shape.”

 

“Through our ’50 popular Collectors’ edition of Fame India, we are trying to bring forth and highlight the contribution of theses officers in the country’s development.
